No pandemic can break our team’s motivation, and here we are once again with the latest release of RepairDesk’s web app. With two major improvements to our system, we are heavily focused on making the in-app experience better and more friendly for you.

Improvements in Customer Management:

Introduction of Manage Custom Fields

To entertain every repair shop retailer who has a different requirement of data entry, we have added the new “Manage Custom Fields” option. You can now add new data fields for customer information in your POS system. Enable, disable, or make the field mandatory as per your preferences.

Apply Custom Taxes

To help you deal with taxing corporate customers and repeat customers, RepairDesk has added a “Custom Tax” feature. Assign a tax type against a specific customer or customer groups and never worry about the taxations again! RepairDesk will take care of the appropriate tax calculation for you, making things a whole lot easier.

Merge Similar Customers

If you have added a single customer multiple times, whether by mistake or any other reason, this improvement is going to give you relief from the pain of duplicate records. Merge customer data efficiently with the option of combining those copies into one.

Simply select a copy customer and the system will search all the customer profiles that have the same first name, last name, phone number, or email information. Choose the best match and merge the two into one. Your repair shop software will link all tickets, invoices, and other records of the two copy accounts with the final one.

View Trade-in History

Offer trade-ins along with the cellphone and computer repairs to expand your repair business. If you are a repair retailer in the EU or the UK, you’ll most likely need to implement the VAT Margin Scheme when dealing with pre-owned devices. With the latest improvements, you can now view a trade-in history tab against each customer’s record.
