Release Notes V3.1-iPad POS Register

We are back with an improved version of RepairDesk iPad POS Register app that will allow you to run the day to day operations with ease. Our team is continuously working hard to provide you with the best iPad POS app and to achieve that objective, we make continuous improvements and bug fixes.

The list for this week is out!

New Features

1. Integration with iZettle

We intend to make payments quicker and easier for you and your customers, using contactless payment readers. We have made this possible through our integration with iZettle, which currently works in UK, Mexico, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Brazil, the Netherlands, and France. There are no monthly fees and no lengthy subscriptions. Just pay a small transaction fee and pay for your business and personal expenses in just a few minutes.

Improvements

1. Add Manufacturer, Device, Problems

Now you can add manufacturer, device and device problems according to the category which will facilitate you in filtering data while creating a repair ticket from the POS screen. Data added through iPad POS screen will automatically be added to your RepairDesk web account on synchronization.

2. Add button disabled on empty notes screen

We have provided you an option to add notes against a repair ticket. The Add button will only be enabled when the user has entered notes. Otherwise, it will be disabled.

3. Save button disabled on no signature screen

While taking customer’s signature, save button will only be enabled when the customer has entered his signatures to save it. Otherwise, this button will be disabled.

4. Send button disabled once an email is sent

To prevent the customer from getting irritated by receiving multiple emails, send email button will be disabled once the email is sent to multiple email addresses.

5. Manual In/Out button

To avoid duplication of entries, manual in/out button will be disabled now until the request is completed and the transaction is saved for the first time. Once the transaction is saved successfully, manual in/out button will be enabled.

6. Scan Barcode using iPad Front Camera

You already had an option to scan the barcode using iPad back camera but now we have provided you the facility to scan a barcode using the iPad’s front camera.

Bug Fixes

1. Cash Value becomes blank on the payment screen

Now while making payment, the cash value is set to empty if the user has removed the value from the cash field whereas previously it was still displaying the last digit. Also, we have improved the size of Complete Payment button to make it more visible for users and remind them to hit it to save the transaction.

2. Post repair conditions are saved when a ticket is updated

Previously when post repair conditions were updated, they were not saved. Now we have fixed this issue and now every time when the user updates post repair conditions, they are saved as well.

RepairDesk is very reasonably priced compared to competitors, but you do not have to begin paying immediately. You can begin using the software completely FREE  and with no credit card required right now.
